Viking River Cruise iPhone workshop with Roberta • November 2017

TESTIMONIALS

Viking River Cruises “Dear Roberta, Thank you very much once again for doing this on board iPhone workshop. Guests, who participated, enjoyed it extremely. It was very helpful, especially for this generation, giving them a lot of advice about different functions, applications , how to take the photos and what they can do with it. I wish you lot of success in this matter in the future. Best Regards, Marek Snelly”

“Roberta, Your iPhone photography class was just what I needed. You cleared up so many questions and processes I had with my iPhone. This class was well thought out, well organized, and had helpful, quality handouts. I liked the fact that as a professional photographer , you did all the research and testing for the best and most streamlined apps for iPhone photography.”

“I really enjoyed the photography workshop I did with you. The capability of the camera in the iPhone is amazing. You opened up new possibilities for me. Now if I could just apply myself I could produce some great pictures. Thanks again Roberta.”

“My name is Denise Peykanu. My husband, Ali, and I were traveling partners on the Viking Gefjon, the “Grand European Cruise”, Budapest-Amsterdam, October 19th-Nov. 5, 2017. We enjoyed our cruise very much, but I would like to highlight a feature of the cruise which made it special and memorable: My husband and I met Roberta and her cruise mate, artist Bruce Busko, our first night on board at dinner. I immediately sensed common interests in art, music and photography and felt the two were a conduit to creative conversation. Ali and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. (Ours was the first of many birthday and anniversary celebrations.) Roberta used her artistic command of my iPhone to capture the moment. I knew I could learn a lot from her expertise in photography and was so please when she announced that she would teach an onboard iPhone camera class on board ship . . . What fun! We cruisers are a captive audience. We are kept busy seeing the sights, attending informative lectures, attending concerts and folk art performances, eating delicious food with our fellow travelers. If you took a survey of age most of our travelers are over 55, retired and/or in a position which allows them time to travel. However, our if survey included interests, hobbies, etc., it would probably reveal that many of us are naive about the technology which we all carry in our hands daily: our phones. To have the opportunity learn to improve our iPhone photos is important to travelers. This is a skill we will take with us the rest of our crusin’ days, an original and practical idea. Roberta Baumann, along with assistant Bruce Busko, provided a “hands- on”, informative class complete with a hand-out on the basics of iPhone security, safely handling our phones and improving our overall storage capacity. I will be using this information and refining my new found skills for weeks to come. Moreover, I will want to cruise again just to use my new found talent: taking excellent iPhone photos! Thank you Roberta! Thank you Bruce! Thank you Viking for the opportunity to learn from our fellow travelers! Sincerely, Denise Peykanu”
